Not much happening..as usual
Pondering this inconsequential day's events I have realized that nothing is blog-worthy. But Phantom Planet is on Leno tonight.
Since I have nothing worthy of blogging I have decided to share with the world one little fragment of a vast rock that was creative writing first semester last year. It can't be called a poem or an essay. So I'm calling it a possay.

"The Loop"

Strollin’ down the endless halls of HRV
Hopping over a blockade of legs
Belonging to the horrendously annoying couples
Feelin’ like a lone orange in a bin of cherry duos
An overripe banana peel, carelessly tossed on the floor next to
H hall’s trash can
It’s like all the laziness in the world when you see that banana peel
So close yet so far away
The crumpled pink note sitting on top of the trash can
No, that’s not right
It doesn’t belong there
It belongs inside
The slacker at the water fountain
Eyes perpetually darting towards the cafeteria
Then down the hall, then back to the steady stream of water
Stop wastin’ water, man
You can compromise your education, but please
Stop wastin’ water
The do-gooders painting a sign for advanced poster making
“Go Eagle’s”
Concern for that unneeded apostrophe is ignored
An AP text and legal hall pass toted by straight A student
That’s disgusting
Rolling black plastic wheels on generic suitcase of fashionably late senior
Sighs of tardiness, fatigue
Pink note clutched tightly in hand
Hey, that’s the note from on top of the trash can
It’s got the same creases and oil stain
An eraser would come in handy now
No, it’s ink
Whiteout
Pink whiteout?
Giddy freshmen girls giggling as they pass
Sporting identical puma bags, nike shoes
Sparkling compositions created with a little help
Maybe it’s maybelline
Remnants of a taco salad: lettuce and mayonnaise, a bit of ground beef
Splattered on the floor like a grotesque snowball
Wafts of hot dog mingling with apple pie drifting from the jungle that is the cafeteria
Urge to scream
Hideous ripped up paper candy canes mass produced
Some of them still hanging on the wall, unclaimed
The claustrophobic blue halls of B
Formerly “The Hat Club” now just “Th Club”
Nobody knew what it was to begin with
Now we’re seriously confused
And good ol’ B08 with the scribbled on canned food drive poster
Right outside
Now no more lone oranges
It’s gonna be all puppy dogs and rainbows
