At some point it becomes difficult to catch up with one's journaling.
Suffice it to say I had an amusing, relaxing, stressful, and difficult holiday. Not everything at once; it just varied. A lot.
Thankgiving itself was excellent. After emerging from my warm bed at a fairly late hour, Becky and I walked to the end of Miller via the canal trail. It was a lovely walk. Brisk. I miss the canal trail! The park just isn't the same.
We had an awesome early dinner. Becky and I once again branched out with poultry. We had free-range turkey, kale and cranberries, homegrown mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, and...homemade biscuits! I concocted the biscuits and just when mum turned up the oven to 450 after she took out the turkey, the bottom element of the oven caught on fire and went out. So...that put our biscuit dough (I had cut four in the shape of turkeys) in a precarious situation. We attempted to heat up the oven through a combination of the top element/broiler and the injured bottom element. Well, the oven reached about 425 and we popped the biscuits in quickly and turned off the broiler so they wouldn't burn. Eventually they got done by grace of ambient heat. We had two helpings of pie that night. Played hearts.

Friday grammy came out for a second Thanksgiving. Saturday I learned the damages to my brakes to the tune of $334. Ouch. At least I won't accidentally rear-end someone though.

Saturday was more of an adventure than I wanted. It was really not a good adventure. But the music itself was excellent, and I now have a megaloceras Shaky Hands shirt. Wow. Plus, Jodie was there! I really really wish I would've known before the show ended, because I was in serious need of non self-consciousness and less crowd.

I just found out today that I don't have to take the final in big game management. Coblentz was like, "if you're happy with your grade, you can skip the final." Sweet. That's the first time that's happened to me I believe...So one less test to worry about. The term is winding down, wrapping up.
