Not much happening here today, it rained most of the daylight hours. I worked again in the morning and then had nothing to do. I finally took Bosun out for a walk when the rain stopped. It started again soon after but it wasn't bad. Many salamanders were out on the path, and a jogger too, which is never a good combination. I saw some ducks. Heard a duck quacking consistently as it floated by so I was on the look out for a predator. Sure enough, a freakin' massive hawk was perched at the top of a fir. Then I saw a pine squirrel in a small tree, and the thing actually climbed back down and acted pretty tame for a wild squirrel. It just looked at me as it rotated around the tree trunk and then hopped off down the trail and across the bridge.

In good news, I got a $3,000 scholarship from OSU, and a gift certificate for the Crazy Pepper..courtesy of Fisk. Small price to pay for avoiding the hire of actual photographers I guess.
