Happenings, annoyances, observations, and some photographic documentation

Boring day. When I left the sleeping porch there was some repair guy in the study room who asked if I could turn on all the showers. Well, there were several people in there showering and I thought it would be rather awkward to just go in there and turn the rest on, especially if other people were about to shower. So I just went back and told him there were several people showering. Said he was trying to fix temperature flucuations...
Then there was a cricket-like bug in one of the sinks. I'm normally not this kind to bugs but it would have gotten washed down so I put it in a plastic baggie and walked outside. Ironically enough there were people spraying pesticides right outside. So I walked a ways away and released it.

Jasmine and I went to check out the involvement carnival and left after about a minute. Then we explored the library. It seems slightly less intimidating when inside. Found some theses..some huge ones on mathematics, and a more reasonably sized one on freshman anxieties.

Again, I walked a lot. Was able to locate the convenience store where we stopped coming back from the coast with Becky last summer. And, I haven't gotten lost yet. Rachel had a friend drop her TV off for our room..we have 50 channels. She also hung up some pinkish lights, which I'm not thrilled with but can live with. Also a flag..random. Well, I'm bringing antlers. Too bad there isn't a big enough wall for the bear rug.

This evening Rachel and I were in our room on our computers and I heard some guys talking in the hallway, assumed more visiting boyfriends, until I heard a questioning hello in our doorway. Michael, Jon, Graham, and Stephen (they all live right across the street). At Michael's request they came over. Funny how I was just thinking that it was incredible how I hadn't even seen Michael yet, and he tracked me down. Well, he knew where I lived, and yet somehow lost a bet to Jon regarding whether or not I lived in a co-op. So we went over to their dorm and hung out for a while. Michael was attempting a buddy search and using everyone else's screen names to talk with people he doesn't know. Yes, he's trying to meet people online even though there are several thousand right here. Jon printed out a picture of himself devouring a hotdog and signed it, along with "keep peddlin'" (even though I don't have a bike). Another humorous photo to add to my board.

Tomorrow hopefully Joanna is coming to drop off my comforter, an umbrella, the 2004 yearbook, and some other items. Ag. Sciences BBQ for lunch, then the Varsity ice cream social in the evening.
