Highlights of the past bit o' time

Christmas eve with Tim's family, where gifts were exchanged and delicious turkey and trimmings were consumed.

Christmas day with grammy at the inn, where we all enjoyed good food and conversation.

A trip to Portland this past weekend for Andrew, Becky, and I. We saw DeVotchKa at the Crystal Ballroom, shopped to our heart's content and stimulated the economy. Becky and I spent all our Christmas cash and then some. Purchases: polar bear pajama pants and a polka dot bra from American Eagle, long-sleeve shirts from Gap to layer under tees, jeans and a gray top from Buffalo Exchange, a beige blouse from Anthropologie to go with my recently acquired plaid skirt, three CDs from Everyday Music (Rilo Kiley, Sarah McLachlan, and My Brightest Diamond), and Rocket Dog dress flats to go with the skirt that goes with the top from Anthropologie (yes, it was a "give a mouse a cookie" situation when I found that skirt in Hood River). It was wonderful, but also exhausting! Shopping and walking on pavement can really sap the energy out of ya.

A hike in the snow today. Becky and I saw a pileated woodpecker and I marveled at the apparent rabbit highway through the trail of the old "lizard hill."

Elliott Glacier Public House with two of Andrew's friends this evening. Finally tried the truly local beer! Good stuff - Baseline Porter.

And to come - Tony arrives "home" from Wisconsin late Friday night. I shall meet him at the airport and sweep him off his feet, then we plan to drive to Corvallis where I will stay (for a few days?).
