Family picnic, which was fun. No bears wandered through though. Mark and Janelle were there. Mark just ran in the hood to coast relay. It's rather strange having cousins in their 30s. I feel so..young and inexperienced. Good walnut cookies from Rosauers.

Three weeks from today I'll be at college. Still have to order my textbooks, get a comforter, and a few pairs of shoes. Tomorrow is an eye exam appointment, oh joy.

After the picnic Tim and mom and I drove to Dog River and hiked to the meadow. Tim and her took the lower trail to the meadow and I took the top one. Found a beautiful red tail hawk tail feather. They saw a screech owl and I was a bit bummed to miss out on that. Those things are adorable.
